You already know for sure the Christmas Camp – is very diverse camp. Lindy hop, boogie-woogie, balboa, west coast swing, jazz, burlesque, shag – and these are just the main tracks.

But we don’t want to stop at this :-) This year you will have even more dances in Christmas Camp. Some of them you might have never heard abort, but they are as interesting as styles and dances that you already know. So follow the schedule of bonus-classes and do not miss anything!

And in the last evening we suggest you to use all the materials that you’ve learned and to demonstrate your talents in the unique Knock-out Tournament! You can dance anything to various music. You may trust, that will be fun!

Knock-out Tournament is just one of competitions of MCSDC 2012. Competitions will be numerous and different, just like tracks.

Solo Jazz Contest
Competition in dances without partner – you may dance anything, from charleston to burlesque. Elimination: all-skate (5-6 participants in a hit), final – in format of jam. Music: different, from blues to charlestone. Registration will be opened in the camp.
When: January 3

Jack&Jill
This year we will have four separate Jack&Jills (lindy hop, boogie-woogie, balboa, west coast swing). Regulation is the same for all: elimination and semi-finals – all-skate, in every hit participants dance 3 songs with different tempo, changing partners. Finals of lindy and boogie – in format of jam, finals of balboa and west coast swing – one spot. Registration will be opened in the Camp.
When: Eliminations – January 4, semi-finals and finals – January 6

West Coast Swing Strictly
West Coast Swing competition with your own partner. Elimination – all skate, 3-4 couples in the hit, final – one spot. In final participants choose the song: blues or contemporary. Registration will be opened in the Camp.
When: January 4

Cabaret
The parade where participants of the camp may demonstrate their talents in dancing, singing, playing instruments or anything else. Attention, there is time limit: a performance should not be longer that 3 minutes. Thank you for understanding. The registration will be opened in the Camp.
When: January 5

Knock-out Tournament
Competition with your own partner. You can dance anything you want, the music will be fast and various (swing and close to swing, boogie will be too). Elimination – all-skate.

Starting with ¼ final (12 couples) on the dancefloor dance 2 couples (knock-out). In final 3 couples are dancing in format of jam. Preliminary registration will b opened on the site in the nearest future, but you may register in the Camp too.

Swingout Contest
Competition of endurance – swingouts, swingouts and nothing more to the fast music. The last couple survived it the winner!

Except for this there as always will be funny and estive parade of teachers and organizers during the opening, blues night, teachers show and a lot of ther events. We are already waiting for you.
